RV Self-Park Now Open For Business In West Sullivan

RV Self-Park, 4045 North Service Road West, is bringing a new idea to the local area and an idea that may just well take off for local residents Jim and Marla Turntine.

Calling it “RV Country” best described our local area as hundreds of RVs and campers can be spotted traveling up and down Interstate 44, along Historic Route 66, on their way to popular destinations like Meramec State Park, Meramec Caverns, Blue Springs Resort, Branson or many many tourist attractions and campsites along the Midwest.

However, many of these travelers are often looking for a convenient RV park to park their unit for the night or for a few nights before traveling on to their destination with water, sewer and electrical hookup.

This is where the new RV Self-Park has come into playm where RV folks can pull in and pay their fees through a self-service app and be set up for their stay no matter what time of day or night. In a brightly lighted facility that is clearly marker along a paved road and into a paved parking space ready for utility services.

According to Jim Turntine, the facility currently has 24 sites in phase one and could be expanded in the future should the demand call for it but at this time 24 sites seems to be the right fit.

While the park is now open the facility also remains under construction and will be fully completed once warmer weather arrives but at the present time the facility has 15 paved sites that are complete and nine that are nearing completion. There are 23 sites that are 15’ by 75’ or more and one that is 15’ by 60’. All are paved with choice of 50 amp or 30/20amp service, water, sewer and wifi included, The facility also has a state of the art security camera system installed.

Currently guests using the facility may stay by the hour or day up to 28 days at this time.

Turntine stated that they believe the business model for the RV Park is more conducive to stimulate short stays versus longer stated but will see what the RVing public wants and go from there.

Jim Turntine also stated, “Our goal is to provide the most stress free parking experience possible, We intend to do so with full automation within the next few months as we integrate all of the existing hardware to our own software development. The end product is intended to be “Amazon-like” for our Guests. Meaning they will be able to reserve, book, pay, visit and move on without ever interacting with us unless they want to give us a call for help. We are not building a typical campground. We hope to fill a void in the RV traveling needs that we have seen unserved, and experienced it even.

Turntine does look to expand this concept if growth takes off on this development in other parts of the state.

“I believe its a much-needed option in RV travel today,” said Turntine. “I have experienced the need myself in many-many markets nationwide. We plan to build our business model to support offering franchise opportunities to others as well.”

The RV Self Park Facebook page states, “Whether riding solo or traveling with the whole family, for the night or multiple days and nights; RV Self -Park brings convenience and ease to the parking process. Stress Free! Stay and explore all the local sights or just get some rest before returning n to the open road. RV Self-Park is the perfect place to stop.”
