Pedestrian Struck, Then Strikes Firetruck Door Thursday Night

A 21-year-old Sullivan man received serious injuries and was flown by ARCH Helicopter to Mercy Hospital on Thursday after he ran into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle, which sent him airborne into the side of the Sullivan Fire apparatus.
Sullivan Fire and Missouri Baptist Ambulance had been dispatched to I-44 eastbound at 227 mile marker at 8:25 p.m. for a male subject down in the median.
