Peaceful Protests In Franklin County Will Be In Sullivan June 28

A Facebook group entitled Peaceful Protests In Franklin County, led by Alexandria Gray, is scheduled to hold a protest in Sullivan on Sunday, June 28, at a time and location to be announced.

The group recently held a very peaceful protest in Union at the Historic Franklin County Courthouse, and has had others in Washington.

The group’s motto is, “We are a group of people wanting to make a stand for the injustices of a failing system. Most importantly we desire equality for all and expect change to start now.”

The group has been very professional in their peaceful protests.

City Administrator J.T. Hardy reported that he has not been formally contacted by the group but does expect to speak with them in the coming days.

The group has only posted a limited number of details on the Sullivan event at press time.
