Officers Respond To Homeless Disturbance

Sullivan Police were called to the area of the 226 I-44 overpass on Saturday, October 13, at 11:41 p.m. after a caller reported a fight between six individuals.

Officers arrived and determined that two male subjects, both homeless, had gotten into a physical altercation regarding sleeping areas.

The other individuals involved, also believed to be homeless, stated to officers that they were not involved in the altercation but were trying to stop the fight.

Officers did not make any arrests and one of the subjects involved in the fight fled the area due to active warrants.
