Missing Woodland Lakes Senior Found In Pond

Man had been missing for two days

A missing Sullivan man who resides within the Woodland Lakes resort community in Washington County was found deceased Oct. 13 in what authorities believe was the result of an accidental drowning.

Sullivan firefighters, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Washington County Sheriff’s Department were called to 10420 Wildwood Lane, Woodland Lakes, at 2:53 p.m. Saturday for a report of a body floating in a pond.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bryan D. Taylor, 81, was believed to have been operating a vehicle when it crashed into the lake at the development. Taylor is believed to have exited the vehicle and entered the water where authorities suspect he drowned.

Authorities had received reports that Taylor had not been seen since Thursday, with the accident occurring near his property.

No foul play is suspected.
