Missing 6-Year-Old From Bourbon Found Safe in Attic

LACLEDE COUNTY -- A 6-year-old boy from the Bourbon area who had missing since August 2018 was found Tuesday in an attic in Laclede County.

Braedence Jones was found in a crawlspace with his mother, Aubrey Ferguson. The crawl space had been nailed shut by Woodrow Ziegler and then covered and blocked by furniture, according to Lake News Online.

An endangered person advisory was issued after Jones was reported missing by his father, Ryan Jones of Bourbon, on Aug. 3.

Ferguson, of the Camdenton area, was wanted for felony child abduction. Ferguson is accused of not returning Braedence Jones following a visitation.

A court ordered Ziegler, a felon and alleged drug user, to not be around Braedence Jones.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office said a search warrant was obtained for a residence in Laclede County based on information provided by the US Marshal's Service violent fugitive task force.
