Man Accused Of Striking Teens With Crowbar

A Beaufort man has been charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action after he allegedly struck two teens with crowbars Dec. 3.

Brian K. Epperson, 32, is being held on a $25,000 bond.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said an 18-year-old male and 16-year-old female were struck in the head by the crowbar. Witnesses identified Epperson as the attacker. The victims received medical attention.

On Dec. 13, Epperson was arrested in Pacific on an unrelated warrant for failure to appear in court. While in custody, he was questioned by investigators. Epperson alledly admitted to being involved in a physical confrontation. A search warrant of his vehicle turned up potential evidence of the assault.
