Man Accused Of Domestic Assault

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested a St. Clair man Wednesday after he allegedly violated a court order of protection and assaulted a female victim.
Robert Kavanaugh, 38, is charged with domestic assault, violation of a court order, marijuana possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Kavanaugh’s bond was set at $10,000.
The sheriff’s office said deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Parkway Drive. A deputy met with Kavanaugh, who was exiting the home. He was prohibited from being on the property or contacting the petitioner.
The petitioner reported Kavanaugh had assaulted her and there was visible evidence of a minor injury.
