Male Fatally Injured During House Fire Saturday

Franklin County Sheriff’s Department along with Franklin County Fire Investigator’s Office are investigating the death of a male victim late Saturday night, May 12, at the 100 block of Wild Oak Road in Stanton.

According to sources, Sullivan Fire District Firefighters, Missouri Baptist Ambulance and St. Clair Fire were dispatched to a two-story home, with a reported fire possibly in the attic at 9:52 p.m.

As firefighters were approaching the scene they were alerted that a male subject, not believed to be the homeowner, had accessed the roof of the home and was checking on the fire.
