Lonedell Man Surrenders Following Three-Hour Standoff

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lonedell man on Tuesday after he barricaded himself in a residence and surrendered following a three-hour standoff.

Clyde Johnson, 45, is being held on a $50,000 bond for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Johnson was being sought on a warrant from the Washington Police Department.

Deputies located Johnson in the 200 block of Tranquility Lane in Lonedell.

As they arrived, Johnson barricaded himself and due to his “violent criminal history,” the Franklin County SWAT team was activated.

Johnson has multiple convictions for assault.

Johnson was peacefully taken into custody.
