Juveniles Turned Over To Authorities As Officers Continue Burglary Investigations

Sullivan Police have made some headway in what has been an epidemic of burglaries in the community going back to Oct. 1.

Incidents have neared two dozen, as officers have spoken with multiple juveniles believed to have played roles in the various crimes.

“We have continued to increase patrols and crackdown on curfew violators and those roaming the streets late at night,” said Sullivan Police Lt. Patrick Johnson. “We are still catching some juveniles out after dark and before curfew hours begin but we continue to work to resolve these issues.”

According to Johnson, police have interviewed and spoken to more than a half dozen believed to have been involved with a number of the burglaries.
