Help Place Hero’s Flags

Help is needed setting up 500 flags to honor Mr. James Cook. Sullivan Missouri Marine veteran and first responder / security officer killed on the job. The community is invited to show their respect for our local hero by helping setup of flags on Sunday, February 7 at 12:30 p.m. All volunteers are asked to meet at Sullivan Christian Church, 912 S. Hwy. 185, Sullivan, MO 63080. Flags will be flown Sunday, February 7 through Tuesday, February 9, 2021 to honor our local hero. On Tuesday, February 9, 2021 volunteers are also needed to wave flags and give our local hero a community salute.

 

Mr. James Cook will have visitation from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Hutson Funeral Home, 601 West Main St. Steelville, MO 65565. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Sullivan Christian Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11a.m. with Pastor John Blackmore officiating. Burial is at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with full military honors.
