Gerald Man Injured In Accident

A Gerald man had moderate injuries Saturday after he struck a tree on Highway 185, south of Gunsmith Lane.
Richard D. Ayers, 33, was traveling in a 2002 Ford Escape around 9 p.m. when he took a curve too fast, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Ayers was transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington by Gerald EMS. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt.
The vehicle received total damage.
