Franklin County Sheriff's Office Executes Warrant Round-Up

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office performed a warrant round-up on Feb. 12, arresting 18 people.

Sheriff Steven Pelton said the focus was on warrants for subjects who have failed to appear for their court dates and crimes against persons.  

“Many of these warrants have been issued two or three times for the same charges, due to the subjects never appearing in court after they had been arrested multiple times and released from the detention facility,” Pelton said. “It is a priority of this office to bring those who have been criminally charged to justice.”

Pelton said throughout the day, some subjects were arrested as they were at the same residence the subject deputies were looking for.  The following is a list of subjects who were arrested on outstanding warrants.

Gil R. Mays, 29-year-old male from Villa Ridge.  10 Fail to Appear warrants for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

Benjamin O. Smith, 38-year-old male from Union.  2 Fail to Appear warrants for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

James A. Stahlman, 48 year old male from St. Clair.  4 Fail to Appear warrants for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

Matthew T. Hunt, 24-year-old male from St. Clair.  9 Fail to Appear warrants for Possession of Controlled Substance, Shoplifting, Delivery or Possession of a Controlled Substance in a County Jail, Resisting Arrest, and multiple traffic violations.

Anthony Cromwell, 36-year-old male from St. Clair.  6 Fail to Appear warrants for disorderly conduct and traffic violations.

Cameron M. Haug, 22-year-old male from Villa Ridge.  2 Fail to Appear warrants for Resisting Arrest and traffic violations.

Michael D. Crabtree, 22-year-old male from Rosebud.  5 Fail to Appear warrants for resisting arrest and multiple traffic violations.

William M. Smith, 32-year-old male from St. Clair.  1 crimes against Persons warrant for Attempted Rape, 2 counts of Incest, and Statutory Rape.

Tony S. Ward, 33-year-old male from Union.  1 warrant for a traffic violation.

James W. Bess Jr., 52-year-old male from Catawissa.  3 Fail to Appear warrants for Domestic Assault 4th Degree, Felony DWI, and Probation Absconder.

Alexander H. Arnette, 29-year-old male from St. Clair.  1 Fail to Appear warrant for Domestic Assault 4th Degree.

Allison K. Moore, 28-year-old female from Sullivan.  1 Fail to Appear warrant for Felony Passing Bad Checks.

Brianna Gills, 25-year-old female from Robertsville.  3 Fail to Appear warrants for DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful possession of a Drug , Assault 4th Degree, and traffic violations.

Christopher I. Newton, a 36-year-old male from Sullivan.  1 warrant for Felony Domestic Assault 2nd Degree.

Dustin L. Dunham, 36-year-old male from Sullivan.  2 warrants for traffic violations.

Garrett A. Kruse, 22-year-old male from Pacific.  2 Fail to Appear warrants for Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphenalia, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and traffic violaions.

Katie Wasson, 26-year-old female from Sullivan.  1 Fail to Appear warrant for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Derrick A. Roark, 31-year-old male from Robertsville.  1 warrant for Felony Probation Violation.
