Four Killed In Phelps County Accident

Four people were killed in an accident Sunday on Highway O, four miles south of Rolla.

One person had serious injuries and another had moderate injuries. Two children had minor injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Alonzo, C. Moore, 22, Rolla, traveled into the path of a 2015 Nissan Titan driven by Andrew Knehans, 42, Rolla. The collision occurred around 9:12 a.m.

All four occupants of the Cavalier, including Moore, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Logan K. Barton, 27, Salem; Zachary J. Barton, 26, Salem and Andrew T. Theiss, 25, Rolla were listed as fatalities.

None of the four occupants were wearing seat belts.

Elaine Knehans, 43, Rolla, had serious injuries and was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center.

Parker W. Knehans, 6, and Sophia Knehans, 10, had minor injuries.

Andrew Knehans had moderate injuries.

All four occupants were wearing seat belts.
