Foundation Donates $8,400 For New School Website/App

The Sullivan Education Foundation recently provided a donation/grant of $8,400 to the Sullivan School District for a new website and phone app.

According to J.T. Hardy, SEF President, the new web and app will allow the school district to have a more interactive website for students, parents and those looking to come to our community.

“The grants/donations from the Sullivan Education Foundation are made to help educators in the classroom, along with the district to provide things that may not be funded in the annual budget of the district,” said Hardy. “These can be requests for white boards, iPads or other classroom needs and this program which will provide a much better website and phone app for the district students, faculty and parents.”

The SEF raises money for these types of programs during various fundraisers held with the majority coming from the annual Dueling Pianos event held each year, along with donations from gracious donors.

According to Assistant Superintendent Cindy Carey, “The foundation has generously donated $8,400 to purchase a new and inviting Sullivan School District website and app that is streamlined with our current School Messenger communication service. The website will be easier to navigate for parents and the community, plus the ability to download an app on phones that will keep us better connected.”
