Fleeing Police, Man Jumps Off Overpass, Attempts To Carjack Driver

Police arrested a St. Louis man on Saturday after he jumped off the 225 overpass and tried to carjack a driver in an attempt to flee law enforcement.

Michael Madison, 36, has been charged with second-degree attempted robbery, attempted stealing of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

Two other people, including a juvenile, were injured when Madison crashed into their vehicle.

The attempted carjacking victim received scratches on her arms, chest and legs. Some of her hair also was pulled out during the struggle.
