Cuba Man Stopped With $23,000 In Cash, Methamphetamine And Active Warrant
For the second time in as many months a Cuba man has been arrested on an active warrant and allegedly found to be in possession of a large amount of cash, suspected drugs, scales, cash counting equipment and drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday night, Dec. 16, a Sullivan officer on routine patrol stopped a Toyota SUV after the vehicle committed a traffic violation. The license plate was registered to a 2002 Jeep.
According to police, the officer located $23,463.93 in cash, methamphetamine, scales, baggies, cash counting equipment and drug paraphernalia. Officers indicated that the vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana in the vehicle as well.
