County Posts Strongest August Collection
Crawford County’s general revenue sales tax continued to yo-yo, bouncing back from a slow July for its strongest August collection.
The sales tax report showed a $140,226.20 collection in August, up from $135,900.81 in August 2016. It’s an increase of 3.18 percent.
In July, the county saw a 17 percent dip from July 2016 to July 2017.
Overall, the county has collected $844,886.69 in 2017. At this point in 2016, the county was at $820,978.06 in general revenue collection.

The two separate taxes were up 3.23 percent and brought in around $133,000 respectively for the respective funds.
