Council Approves Ordinance To Purchase Golf Course, Industrial Property

The Sullivan City Council unanimously approved the purchase of the Sullivan Country Club and its golf course and two industrial buildings Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Under Ordinance 3815, the council approved the purchase of the country club from Watkin Property Management LLC in the amount of $790,000, with the business donating some $155,000 in equipment to the City of Sullivan.
The property covers 118 acres in Sullivan that is deemed green space in the City of Sullivan’s comprehensive plan.
