Council To Approve Airport, Wastewater Ordinances
The Sullivan City Council was expected to approve two ordinances on Tuesday.
Bill No. 3880, sponsored by Alderman Paul McCulloch, will approve a contract with L. Keeley Construction Company at the Sullivan Regional Airport.
Passage would give approval to a 130-day contract with Keeley Construction for the construction of 10 new hangars at the airport — a four unit T-hangar and six-unit executive T-hangar.
Keeley also would pave the new taxi lanes and hangar islands.
Cost of the construction is more than $1.6 million.
Bill No. 3879, sponsored by Alderman Tony Wessler, would approve an agreement with Wedeco (Xylem Water Solutions) to provide maintenance and service of the city’s wastewater treatment plant disinfection system.
The agreement would be for one year and cost $7,276.
Xylem would provide two inspections and maintenance service.
Each of the two visits requires one full day onsite.
The city will receive a 12 percent discount on spare parts ordered during the contract period.
