Clarks CEO Addresses CVS Buyout

Clarks RX Pharmacy CEO Tim Clark issued a statement Monday, Dec. 11 at 10:54 a.m. regarding reported sale to CVS Pharmacy. The statement was not available at press time for the Dec. 13 issue of the Sullivan Independent News.

Clark stated in the release, "Last week, I informed our staff that we would not be selling to CVS at this time. All of them were asked to continue to work for Clark's until we had some certainty. Unfortunately, some of our staff decided to quit at the end of work on Friday. Despite my best efforts to keep them as part of our team. Clark's is still open in Bourbon and Sullivan. We are excited that John Hewkin (pharmacist) and several key team members are staying. I have discovered that some my former staff has directed patients to transfer your prescriptions to Sink while working for Clark's. I am requesting patients to contact me directly if that has happened to them. Thanks for your support. We look forward to continue to serve our patients."
