City Will Begin Receiving Proposition P Funds

The Franklin County Proposition P taxes will begin to be distributed to communities in Franklin County in the coming weeks and funds are to be used for the retainment and recruitment of officers.

The City of Sullivan had not formally decided how these funds were gonna be dispersed to full-time officers in the department, but the council took action December 4 on the matter.

With the first tax payment to be received from Franklin County in early 2019, the city consensus was to distribute the funds to officers equally based on the total number of law enforcement officers in the month the monies are received.
