City Residents, Businesses Asked To Conserve Water
City of Sullivan residents and businesses are being asked to conserve water through July 31, due to some unforeseen circumstances/issues with a major Sullivan well.
A city spokesperson indicated that while the water supply is stable with current weather conditions and a well currently off line the in the Sullivan system, the request is being made as a precaution.
City officials are concerned should a major water line break occur, which is happening in many communities due to weather impacts, or a major fire occur, the city system could become overloaded.
The city is asking residents and businesses to limit irrigation, of yards and other activities until July 31, if possible.
Should circumstances change the Sullivan Independent News will provide updates on our website and Facebook page.
