Body Found In Bourbeuse River Monday

UPDATE: The man has been identified by the Missouri State Highway Patrol as Zachary Blackwell, 21, Union.

The highway patrol does not know when Blackwell entered the water.

His body was taken to the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office.

The body of a male subject believed to be 20-30 years of age was found on the Bourbeuse River on Monday  around 10:30 a.m.

Union Police received a call by kayakers who were on the river Monday morning and discovered the male subject just east of the Highway 50 bridge.

The body was recovered by Union Fire Rescue and a Union Police Detective, but no cause of death has been released.

The Sullivan Independent News confirmed with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department that this was not any of the missing people they are searching for.
