Authorities Raid Peace Of Mind Stores
A joint investigation on Tuesday led to the raid of Peace of Mind stores in Sullivan, Festus and Park Hills.
Authorities from the MCNVCEU, Mineral Area Drug Task Force, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Sullivan Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
According to Sullivan Police, search warrants were served at each store. Police and sheriff’s deputies reportedly received numerous citizen complaints concerning activities at the Sullivan location.
Narcotics detectives obtained samples of products being sold and testing showed they contained cannabidiol, a Schedule I controlled substance.
During the search, numerous items were seized, including CBD oil in various forms. A large variety of paraphernalia items used to process, store, hide and use controlled substances also were seized.
The investigation is ongoing with charges being sought against the owner for distribution of a controlled substance.
