Authorities Following Leads In Rash Of Burglaries

Sullivan Police continue to follow up on leads in a rash of burglaries that occurred late Friday night, early Saturday morning, March 23-24 that targeted several businesses.

Police are now are currently investigating four shed/garage break-ins and one additional business burglary this past week.

Sullivan Police Lt. Patrick Johnson informed the Sullivan Independent News on Thursday, March 29, the authorities were still interviewing possible suspects and following up leads in a rash of burglaries the previous weekend that targeted: Sullivan MFA Coop, 28 North Church Street; Sullivan Athletic Club/Rob Ward’s Company Store, 23 Taylor Street; Peterson Oil, 200 Euclid Street; and Jekyll & Hyde’s Sport’s Bar, 651 Fisher Drive.

The break-in at Jekyll & Hyde’s Sport’s Bar was the sixth and final time for the business that announced on Saturday, March 24 they would close.
