Anytime Fitness Celebrates Its First Year In Business
Anytime Fitness, 250 South Service Road West, is celebrating its first year in business this week with an Anniversary Open House on Saturday, August 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include a workout contest, chair massages, door prizes, Jimmy John’s samples and Supplement Superstore on hand.
“Saturday will be a free workout day for anyone interested in seeing the gym and visiting our staff and facility,” said Maggie West Heidbrink, owner. “We’re excited to have reached our first year in business and looking forward to meeting people as we move forward with our second year.”
Heidbrink stated that when the business opened they started with 200 members and were able to reach their first year goal of attaining over 700 members.
“Everyone has been real receptive to Anytime Fitness and it’s been a good first year overall,” said Heidbrink. “We are seeing people of all ages using the membership from people in their twenties to seventies. The Silver Sneaker Program has been a big hit for our older community and we can walk people through that program.”
Through the first year Heidbrink stated that the facility sees its most activity from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.; during the lunch hours and evenings after 3:30 p.m.
“We are a 24/7 facility so people work out when it’s convenient for them which can be anytime of day or night,” said Heidbrink. “We always have new people coming in from not only Sullivan but Bourbon, Cuba, Leasburg and St. Clair.”
Anytime Fitness also offers classes in cardio and strength training with a move to more personal training on the horizon.
“I’m currently working on my certification as a personal trainer and look to test and complete this certification soon,” said Heidbrink.
Anytime Fitness members also have the ability to work out at any of the 4,000 locations nationwide with their membership locally.
