Accident Seriously Injures Bourbon Man
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Bourbon man received serious injuries Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.
According to the highway patrol, Michael E. Wood, 59, was traveling on a 2006 Yamaha Virago on Old Highway 66, east at the Bourbon city limits.
The patrol said a 2009 Kia Optima, driven by Michael B. Richards, 62, Plattsmouth, Neb., made a left hand turn in Wood’s path.
Wood’s motorcycle skidded and overturned. It collided into Richards’ vehicle.
Wood was transported via helicopter to Mercy Hospital. Richards was uninjured.
Both were wearing safety devices.
