2020 Tax Levy Set At $0.4212

The Sullivan City Council held a public hearing on the 2020 Tax Levy Aug. 18.

City Clerk Jan Koch reported the proposed real estate tax rate for 2020 is $0.4212 versus $0.4201 in 2019.

The tax funds are projected to generate $365,830 in 2020 compared to $362,602 in 2019.

Following the public hearing and under Ordinance 3891 the council approved the tax levy rate.

The City of Sullivan however does not have personal property taxes as those were repealed in 1993.
