Two Fatally Injured In Accident Friday

Two people received fatal injuries in an accident on Highway N Friday after going off the road and striking a tree.
Ronald E. Drennen, 53, Cadet, and Connie J. Long, 51, Collinsville, Ill., were pronounced dead at the scene at 10:13 a.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
Drennen reportedly failed to negotiate a curve in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and he over-corrected, going off the left side and striking a tree.
The accident occurred six miles east of Bourbon.
