Sullivan Man Charged With Two Counts Of Drug Possession

A Sullivan man currently incarcerated at the St. Louis County Jail has been charged in Crawford County with two counts of drug possession stemming from an incident in October 2016.

Bourbon police executed a search warrant on a vehicle owned by Joseph Ware, 26, on Oct. 6. Two digital scales, a bundle of clear plastic bags, a double-sided slate board with white residue, two ink pen tubes with residue, a water bong, three marijuana pipes, a metal container with marijuana, a grinder, 15 orange pills, one green pill, one white pill, a pill cutter and pocket knife containing residue was seized.

All items were inside two boxes in the front passenger seat.

Ware was observed by then-Major Darin Layman and then-Sheriff Randy Martin changing a tire on the vehicle.

When they attempted to make contact, Ware allegedly ran to another vehicle and fled the scene.
