Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Disabled Victim

A Cuba man is accused of sexually abusing a female victim who uses a wheelchair.

Zeno Fry, 50, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse. Fry is being held on a $25,000 bond.

The probable cause statement also alleges that Fry threatened a police officer and had to be placed in a restraint chair when he arrived at the Crawford County Jail. Charges have not been filed for resisting arrest.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Springfield Street in Cuba on April 15 in reference to someone inside a house threatening to shoot a female in the face.

The subject left, but was spotted near Hickory Street. Police ordered Fry to get on the ground. Fry raised his hands and asked why he was being harassed.

Fry was placed into custody and checked for weapons. Another officer arrived on scene and said Fry had allegedly groped the victim without consent.

Police spoke to the victim, “who was visibly upset and crying.” The victim advised she was in her bedroom, but her wheelchair battery was dead. Fry knocked on the door of the house and entered upon the victim’s consent. Fry was there to see the victim’s son, who was reportedly asleep in another bedroom.

The victim said Fry walked up behind her and began groping her. She said she fought Fry off and yelled at him to leave the home.

Fry, who was detained during the investigation, was informed that he was being arrested for sexual abuse. Police say he became irate and cursed at them while also spitting in the rear seat of the patrol car.

Fry allegedly threatened to find the officer and his family, that the officer “just made the worst mistake” of his life and that “he would take care” of the officer when he got out.
