County Revenue On Track, Expenses Below Projections
Crawford County Clerk John Martin provided commissioners with a third quarter general revenue update Tuesday, showing the county’s revenue is on track to meet expectations and expenses are below projections.
The budget year is 79.5 percent completed and revenue is at 79.4 percent. Expenses are at 70.2 percent, but there are still big expenditures yet to come, such as postage for sending out property taxes and voter registration canvassing.
Martin said he was satisfied and the budget is right on target.
“It won’t get us out of the hole, but it wasn’t designed that way,” he said.
