County Posts Lowest July Sales Tax Since 2013
Crawford County collected $65,212.64 for its general revenue in July, the lowest July total since 2013 when it took in just $63,371.37.
July is typically one of the lowest months of collection for the county and August traditionally the strongest.
Overall, the county has collected $704,660.49 for general revenue. At this point last year, the county collected $685,077.25.
LEO/CI
The law enforcement and capital improvement sales taxes are two separate taxes.
Law enforcement collected $59,647.69 in July and for the year, has collected $639,795.66. The LEO tax has generated a little more than $16,000 cumulatively over this same point in 2016.
Capital improvement collected $59,669.69.
Overall, the county has collected $1.9 million in sales tax for the three funds, an increase of 2.7 percent over this point in 2016.
