Commission Issues Fine Against Property Owner

Crawford County commissioners issued a fine Tuesday of nearly $16,000 against a property owner on Stiller Road in violation of hooking a septic system to an existing, in-use system, a violation of the county’s ordinance.

The Crawford County Health Department issued a notice of violation on Jan. 19, 2017 and the property owner has refused to comply.

As of Nov. 28, 313 days had passed since the violation was issued. At $50 per day, it stood at $15,600.
