Collector Nomination Submitted; Hamilton Running Office

The Republican Central Committee has submitted a nomination to Gov. Eric Greitens to fill the Crawford County Collector seat vacated by Pat Schwent.

Deputy Collector Linda Hamilton is currently running the office.

Schwent is still working at the collector’s office. On Friday, she said it could be another week or so until a nominee is finalized. Schwent also said Greitens’ office has to reach out to the Democratic Party to see if they have a nominee.

Schwent has filed to run for another term and is being challenged by Allen Teal in the Republican primary.
