Bourbon Begins New School Year

The new school year for the Crawford County R-1 District began Wednesday with several changes, including 29 new staff members and school resource officer Amanda Rauss.

Superintendent Patricia Thompson said the year is off to a great start and they are thrilled to have Rauss. 

Rauss’ main office is at the high school and she has another location at the middle school.

The salary of the school resource officer is split between the school and the city of Bourbon, with the school paying 75 percent and the city 25 percent.
