Bourbon Appreciation Day May 19

The Bourbon Boosters will hold its annual Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 19 at Town & Country Plaza. 

The American Legion will hold a barbecue and the Boosters will host the Little Mr. & Miss Bourbon contest as part of its spring fundraiser. Businesses are asked to sponsor a couple, ages 3-5, with a can at the business where people can vote. One penny equals one vote. 

The winning couple will be featured in the parade at the Fall Festival on Sept. 21. 

Candidates should register with Alice Bremer at Bremer Hardware.

The Boosters hope businesses will showcase their establishment throughout the month of May by holding sales or coupon drawings. 

Trash Bash

The annual Trash Bash for Cash will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Organizations or individuals should meet at the city shed and collect as much trash as possible for a cash prize. Refreshments will be served to participants.
