Board Not Expected To Take Action On ATVs, Speed Limit
No votes are scheduled Tuesday for two ordinances that have been in discussion for a couple months now concerning ATVs and the speed limit on Highway N.
The ordinances have not been prepared yet, thus no action is possible.
Within a month of being elected alderman, Dave Lafferty sponsored a bill in May that would repeal the city’s ban on operating all-terrain vehicles on its streets.
Lafferty has been pushing for the repeal since October 2016.
The bill he introduced before the board was tabled after an agreement was made to allow restrict operating an ATV to drivers under 21.
It was the second time the bill has been tabled. Ward 1 Alderman Gene Kulaga introduced the bill in November to no votes.
