Japan 4-H News
The Japan 4-H club had its monthly meeting Wednesday evening, Mar. 14, at Crawford Electric Co-op building.
Genifer Cape from Crawford Electric gave a presentation on “Staying Safe Around Electricity.” Genifer started her presentation by asking the children if they knew who owned Crawford Electric Co-op. Several children were really surprised to know that their parents were part owners of Crawford Electric.
Genifer gave several examples of accidents we might be in involving electricity. She talked about the 7,200 voltage going through the lines and what “path to ground” means. There were several parents at the meeting and the information Mrs. Cape gave out was good for all ages. Being safe is everyone’s business and responsibility! Much appreciation to Genifer for a very informative evening.
The next meeting for the Japan 4-H club will be Wednesday, Apr. 11, at Strain-Japan school at 7 o’clock. Members should wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing to participate in our physical fitness program.
