Victorian Place of Sullivan Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19

Update: A spokesperson for Victorian Place of Sullivan said as of Thursday afternoon, most of the staff members have tested negative for COVID-19.

Tests for the residents are expected back by the end of the day, but none of them are showing symptoms, the spokesperson said.

The resident who tested positive is stable and in good spirits.

Victorian Place of Sullivan, residential care by Americare has a confirmed case of COVID-19. 

The facility was made aware of the positive test result on April 17. The resident in question was placed on in-room quarantine on April 13 due to symptoms and a COVID-19 test was administered.

Americare has decided to test all residents and employees of VP Sullivan and hopes to have results back within 48-72 hours.
