Puroclean Provides COVID-!9 Cleaning Protection For SPD
Sullivan businesses continue to step forward to provide donated services to first responders and demonstrated this once again on Thursday, April 16, as Puroclean Emergency Restoration Services, 895 West Springfield Rd., provided COVID-19 deep cleaning of the Sullivan Police Department patrol units in an effort to protect officers in their vehicle they patrol in 24-7.
In early March, the business donated much-needed N-95 face masks to the department for officers on patrol.
Puroclean Manager John Tripp stated Thursday, “We wanted to continue to help our local community and we continue to see a need with our police department as these officers are some of our least protected people out on the front lines. These officers spend so much time in their patrol units and we wanted two give them a deep clean to protect them against COVID-19.”
Tripp stated that the Puroclean team provided a deep clean mitigation of more than 10 patrol units by getting contaminated surfaces clean such as dashes, door handles, carpet, seats, and all area of the patrol unit wiped down and vacuumed which included use of EPA disinfectant from List N, which is approved for COVID-19 prevention. The product is used in the battle of infectious deceases such as H1N1 and SARS.
Tripp noted that while his crews worked on the patrol units they wore fully protected PPE and P100 respirators to provide safety to them as well.
Sullivan Police Lt. Patrick Johnson stated, “Puroclean offered to deep clean our patrol cars and we are very grateful for this business and others who have reached out to help us during this difficult time. We appreciate their donations of services and it provides peace of mind to our officers as well.”
