Library District Holding Open House Thursday

The Crawford County Library District will be holding an open house at the Bourbon branch on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This event will celebrate the library district’s one year of operation. 

Director Elizabeth Outar said they will be serving cake and punch and signing people up for library cards. Patrons are free to come network with the library board members, Bourbon Boosters and Bourbon Economic Development Group.

The library district opened last year and in just one month, the board, Outar, employees and volunteers were able to reorganize all three branches. The district was established following a vote to split from Ozark Regional in August of 2017.

Since then, the district has expanded the hours, collection and staffing at all three branches.
