County Reports 123 New COVID-19 Cases

Crawford County added 123 new COVID-19 cases over the last week.

More than half of the tests came back positive for the virus in the last week.

As of Sunday, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said there have been 824 total cases.

Crawford County reported 72 cases in the previous seven days ending Nov. 1.

The county ranks 52nd in the state in total volume and 38th in the last seven days.

In testing positivity rate, Crawford County has jumped to 16% and 51.9% over the last seven days, which ranks 26th highest.

In the week ending Nov. 1, Crawford County’s overall rate was 13.85% and 34.29% over the previous seven days.

Nine deaths have been reported overall.

DHSS said that most of Crawford County’s cases have affected people ages 55-59. Data shows 93 people in that age group have tested positive.

There have been 262 cases affecting county residents 60 and older.

Among children aged 0-17, there have been 72 cases.

Of those who have died, two were between 65-69-years-old, two were between 70-74-years-old and five were older than 80.

State

Missouri is now averaging more than 3,000 cases per day, up from 2,057 cases per day for the week ending Nov. 1.

Over the last seven days, 21,107 cases have been detected.

The testing positivity rate is 18.5% during that period.

The state reported a whopping 4,802 cases on Monday, Nov. 2.

There were 73 deaths in the last week attributed to the virus and 3,153 overall.

Missouri has totaled 209,197 cases.

The largest group of cases by age is 18-24-year-olds, who have totaled more than 31,000 cases.

Hospitalizations

The number of people hospitalized has jumped from 1,649 to 1,965.

Hospital bed capacity remains at 41%.

There are 459 patients in ICU, where remaining bed capacity is 30%.

Last week, there were 214 people on ventilators, but that has jumped to 254 and remaining capacity is 64%.
