County Man Charged With Assault, Brandishing Weapon
The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested an Owensville man on Tuesday after he allegedly rear-ended a vehicle and waved a shotgun around at the driver.
The suspect has been charged with second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and driving while intoxicated.
He has been released on bond and pleaded not guilty.
According to the probable cause statement, the incident on Highway F near Hypoint Road on April 4.
The suspect allegedly smelled like intoxicants when authorities arrived.
