Board Passes FY2017 Budget

The Bourbon Board of Aldermen passed its fiscal year 2017-2018 budget Tuesday night without much discussion.

A public hearing took less than 10 minutes to complete and the $1.2 million budget was agreed upon unanimously later on that night.

The budgets for each department respectively:

City hall: $281,542

Municipal court: $11,120

Police: $260,600

Street: $158,375

Park: $32,750

Water: $304,047

Sewer: $222,305

City employees received a 2 percent cost of living adjustment.
