For this week’s SHS athlete of the week, I would like to introduce Evvie Blankenship. Blankenship is a senior and has played softball since her freshman year.
The Lady Eagles (15-15-1) finished their season at the Class 3 Sectional on Thursday, Oct. 31. Logan-Rogersville (19-5-2) set the tone early with a 25-16 victory in the first set.

Left fielder Ella Blanton earned the Lady Eagles (19-14) another day by clutching the game-winning out against Saxony Lutheran (16-6).
The Lady Eagles returned to winning their first district title in three years on Monday, Oct. 21.
