Sullivan battled through a grueling two-day, five-game tournament to win their first Peoples Bank Back To School Classic championship on Saturday at Campbell-Chapman Park.
One goal losses have followed Sullivan everywhere they go.
The Eagles twice fell short by a single goal and tied with O’Fallon Christian at the St. Charles West Tournament.
Sullivan’s girls finished second place Saturday at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, which will be the site of next month’s state championships.
Sullivan hosted Hermann and Owensville last week and both Gasconade County foes brought their ‘A’ game.
Hannah Cox had four hits, including two doubles and a home run, drove in nine runs and led Sullivan past New Haven 19-1 on Tuesday.
