Facing St. Clair for a second straight night, the Lady Eagles overpowered their opponents 62-31 on Wednesday.
The Lady Eagles won for the third straight game.
Sullivan overpowered St. Clair 45-22 on Wednesday, winning their second straight game.
The Eagles, who improved to 7–13, were coming off a victory one night earlier against New Haven.
Sullivan’s efforts for a third straight district championship fell shy Saturday, but the Eagles will still be represented at the Class 2 state wrestling meet.
Sullivan’s wrestling team is preparing to host the Class 2 District 1 tournament this weekend.
The Eagles will host 14 other schools over the course of a the two-day tournament.
